Poppy Art

Even though ANZAC Day was in the school holidays, we still took the time to discuss this important day, and how we chose to celebrate it.  It was awesome to hear that so many students in our class attended dawn parades or services.  We took a close look at the famous poem 'In Flanders Fields', and discussed the deeper meanings within this poem.  We also talked about the significance of the poppy.  We found inspiration in some art done by Room 2 earlier in the year, and created this simple but effective poppy art:
