Today we learnt about the main fault lines and volcanoes in our country. We were suprised to find that these things are all around us, and the main divide between the Pacific Plate and Indo-Australian Plate is VERY close!
It was amazing to see how many fault lines there are in New ZeaLand. I definitely agree Miss Simpson, it is very scary to see how close we are to the fault between the two plates.
I found it really interesting to see how many volcanoes and fault lines there were around New Zealand; I thought the fault line was one massive line through New Zealand with cracks coming off it, but it turns out there are many that sit by themselves.
