Netball

Every Monday night, a group of dedicated girls have been playing netball for Halcombe School in the Intermediate competition, played at Vautier Park in Palmerston North.  The team has had some awesome wins, some devastating losses and had a lot of fun along the way.  Tonight was the last game, but unfortunately they went down 12-11 to Palmerston North Intermediate.  They placed 4th overall in their grade.

    Well done and congratulations girls on a great season. I know several of your games were really close and really could have gone either way. I know you will take the time to thank your coach who has given up so many hours to help you enjoy the season.

    Good on you girls! Your team was obviously equally as competitive as the other teams from much larger schools in the Manawatu, which you should all be proud of.

    Its been a pleasure watching you girls every Monday over the last few months. Outstanding performances and skills shown by all. Well played. I am sure the coach is looking forward to next year's season already! Thanks girls, thanks coach.
