AMAZING!

Believe it or not, we have received a comment from Dan Smith, the author of 'Big Game'!  He is so impressed with the illustrations we did about our favourite parts of the books so far, he has asked permission to share the illustrations on his Facebook page.  Miss Simpson said, "Yep!"

When Miss Simpson first received an email to publish the comment, she wasn't sure it was real, so she sent this email to Dan Smith:

Hi Dan
We received a comment from you on our class blog yesterday.  Just wanted to know if the comment really was from you, or if we've been spammed!
Regards,
Di Simpson
Teacher, Halcombe School (NZ)

And Dan replied...

Hi
Yes it was me! I hope you don’t mind, but when I saw all those fantastic drawings of the students’ favourite scenes, I just had to say how much I love them!  They’re so colourful and I can see exactly which part of the story they were drawing. I hope you all continue to enjoy the book.
Best Wishes
Dan

So Miss Simpson published the comment!

I was just having a browse on the internet and I came across your blog post and . . . wow! I'm so pleased to see that you're enjoying my book Big Game. I had a lot of fun writing the story, so it's great to hear that you're enjoying it too! And your pictures are AMAZING! They are so well drawn and so colourful. Some of the scenes you have drawn are exactly as I imagined them. Well done!  Dan Smith
