Hiwinui Sports Exchange

What another fantastic sports exchange we had yesterday!  We all enjoyed our games and for some of us, it was the last interschool event we'll play at Halcombe School.  Thank you very much to Mr Blanchard for the awesome photos!

School Values Comic Strips

Today we created wee comic strips.  The task was to show one aspect of our school values!  This was a fun activity, and we think our comics have turned out really well.  Here are our school values:

Staff vs Students Netball

The A Netball Team took on the mighty teachers in an epic game of netball today.  The students came out really strong, and had a 7-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.  The staff slowly fought their way back though, and the game was drawn with two minutes to go.  Then the students scored two quick goals, and won the game.  Great work everyone and congratulations students!

Pyjama And Hot Chocolate Day

It was sooooo good to be able to wear our PJs to school today!  We all felt super comfortable and warm!  The Student Council also had to make 157 hot chocolates (with marshmallows) at lunch time, and they did an awesome job!

Movie Project

Today Tech Group D worked with the students in Room 8 to make an awesome video.  It is all about the things parents can do to prepare their child for Halcombe School.  The girls had lots of fun making this movie.  Check it out:

Senior Social

We had a blast at the Senior Social last night!  Everyone made an effort to look flash (and clean) and we were all very excited.  It was awesome to see people having so much fun, and busting out some pretty smooth moves!  Great work team!

Tech

Justin Bieber @ Halcombe School

We know that Mrs Turner is a major fan of the 'Biebs', so we decided to 'decorate' Room 7 with 420 A3 sized images of Justin Bieber!  

Newbury Sports Exchange

We had an awesome time during the first ever sports exchange we've had with Newbury School.  Everyone was involved, playing football, rugby or netball.  The weather was fantastic - much better than last week!  We all played hard, and had excellent sportsmanship.  Newbury won the football and B netball, and we won the rugby and A netball.  What a fun day!
