Ancient Egyptian Society - A Hierarchy

We learnt all about the Ancient Egyptian society.  We started our learning by finding a definition of the word 'hierarchy'.  Here is the definition Trevor found in the dictionary:


In Ancient Egypt, some people were more important than others.  At the top of society, was the pharaoh, and at the bottom were the slaves.  We had a look at an example of a pyramid that showed the levels of society, then we created our own.  Here is an example:



Next we worked in groups to find out about a typical day in the life of each of these groups.  We used books and lots of different websites to find our information.  We are pretty good at working well together on tasks like this!
