Gala Awesomeness!
Wow, what an awesome gala! This event was a massive success, and the result of a lot of hard work by a lot of people - including all the kids in Room 6! The magic carpet ride was awesome. The thunder run was awesome. The food was awesome. Dunk the teacher was awesome. The entertainment was awesome. EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME! The exact profit is still being calculated, but it will turn out to be nearly $19,000!

ReplyDeleteThe Gala was so awesome! The best bit about that day was going on the Magic Carpet Ride. It was fun until I hurt my shoulder and had to go to hopsital, but other then that awesome day!
ReplyDeleteHi Room 6. I just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing hard work you did the days leading up to the gala, there was a lot to organise and the help you guys gave was amazing. On Gala Day you were up early setting up stalls & being sent off in all different directions fetching and carrying. You all did an awesome job on your stalls even if I only got cable ties in my 'surprise jar'. The result of all our hard work was just awesome with such a huge amount raised, must have been all that money you spent on the magic carpet!

I loved the surprise in a jar idea and my favorite part was the magic carpet ride. Thank you for an amazing gala!

ReplyDeleteThis years gala was spectacular! We raised $19,000, which was more than I thought. I especially loved the magic carpet ride it was so bumpy and made me want to vomit.

ReplyDeletethe Gala was so much fun!!! It was my very first Gala at this school, but it was the best fun I've had in ages! My favorite was the Magic Carpet Ride, and of course the Halcombe Idol. I can;t wait until the next Gala so I can do it all again!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the gala this year! I think it was better now then in 2013. The only thing I didn't like about it was getting grass burn on the magic carpet ride!

ReplyDeleteI would also like to thank all the fantastic kids in Room 6 for the way so they willingly helped at the Gala.- before, during and after. In the long run, it's the kids at Halcombe School who benefit for all the fundraising. I hope you also had time to really enjoy the Gala as well, and that your grass burns have healed up!
