Sixtus Lodge

Wow, what an awesome three days we've had at Sixtus Lodge!  We did loads of fun activities, including exploring Limestone Creek and Cone Creek, cooked marshmellows over camp fires, had Room 6 Survivor, performed speeches, had a 'tallest tower' tech challenge and of course.... played spotlight!  We also talked a lot about the Key Competencies, and identified goals we have in this area. There were lots of very funny things that happened, and we all enjoyed getting to know our 'new' classmates.

Thank you very much to those parents who whipped up some mean Mac n Cheese meals and to those who did some baking (10/10 for whoever made the chocolate slice with walnuts in it).

Thank you to our awesome parent helpers: Mrs Bartlett, Mrs Jukes, Ms Allen, Mrs Te Whatu, Mr Thompson, Mr Blanchard and Mr O'Fee.  Thanks to Mrs McKay and Mr Casey for helping transport us there too!  We are so lucky to have so much support for our EOTC adventures!

Thanks for some of the cool photos below Mr Blanchard!

One of the best activities we did was write a positive message to all of our class mates.  What a massive bunch of heart warming goodness these messages are.  Hopefully this is something we'll all treasure for years to come.

  3. Sixtus Lodge was so AWESOME! There's some really great photos - especially the one of the hair flick! - I enjoyed the activity when we had to write on everyone else's sheet of paper. Can't wait for Turangi!
