The Country Kids Challenge was loads of fun too, and as usual, the competition was red hot. Competing in a range of 'rural' challenges, the teams blitzed through the course in an epic race. We found out that:
- throwing a frisbee accurately is a wee bit hard in the wind.
- bobbing for apples isn't as easy as it looks.
- hay bales are heavy.
- some people know how to use drench guns, and others don't.
- some people weigh a lot and pushing them in a wheel barrow was hard.
- getting your team to move 5 metres while standing in a wool fadge is pretty much impossible.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the Country Kids Challenge of 2017, it was so much fun! I'm very glad Kauri one it, because we all worked so well together, and we had a great time! I also really enjoyed the pet competitions, well done to everyone who one a prize.
ReplyDeletePet day was heaps of fun! I didn't have a pet but it was still cool to look around and see what pets other people had. I also really enjoyed the country kids challenge! Some parts were really hard and it took us a while to get to the end in our wool fadge, but it was alot of fun!
ReplyDeletePet day was really fun yesterday! Although I didn’t win a prize for my lamb I thought it was good at leading. The country kids challenge was also a highlight and even though we didn’t come first I had heaps of fun!

ReplyDeletePet day was so much fun, and I really enjoyed watching that video! There were a lot of cool photos, some pretty good action ones too! I really enjoyed looking at the lambs (and patting them, a lot). Especially the fluffy and smooth lambs. Can't wait until next year's pet day!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed pet day this year! It was really funny watching the country kids challenge, it definitely seemed difficult. It was tight at the start so good job Kauri for winning in the end.
ReplyDeletewow pet day was a really good day it is sad that it was my last day at Halcombe school but it was really fun to see all the pets that people had.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun watching the country kids, it looked very challenging when there whole team had to fit in a wool fadge. Also well done to the people who won a ribbon or trophy. I liked seeing everyones art work and things in the hall.

Seeing the animals was awesome. There was definitely a variety of different animals. Congrats to all of the people that got ribbons.Country kids was great everyone did awesome. Congrats Kauri for winning!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed pet day my favourite part was country kids. It was really hard to jump to the finish line! I also really liked competing with my pet lamb, and even though she wasn't the best I still had fun and got a ribbon for caring and attention.

ReplyDeleteAt pet day this year There was a huge variety of animals from roosters to goldfish to calves and lambs.Even though I couldn't bring any animals I still had a lot of fun!
